Over at Gardenista.com, Jane Perrone had written on The Best Garden Podcasts of 2017. And though I had noted what was said (below) on The Sodshow About page – I couldn’t think of anything else to say – I’m just getting to note it here now.
Not the first time for this garden podcast to be noted by Gardenista albeit by a different writer, in March 2016, Michelle Slatalla had noted The Sodshow in their 8 Best Garden Podcasts to Listen to Now.
Included alongside some very fine company (again) and some former guests of The Sodshow, if you were planning on looking for some new to listen to voices, these are pretty good places to start.
Dublin-based garden designer Peter Donegan has attracted a raft of big names to appear on his interview-based podcast over the years; fellow designers, head gardeners, nurserymen and women. I am not sure if it is his beguiling Irish accent, his uncanny ability to put guests at ease or the fact that he’s part of the industry himself, but Donegan always manages to draw the best out of his guests, delving into the origins of their plant obsessions and finding out what makes them tick. A live show in Salt Lake City’s Thyme and Place earlier this year further cemented The SodShow’s credentials, making it a must-listen if you are interested in personalities as well as plants.
The Sodshow releases every Friday and is available in iTunes, all good podcast stores and via The Sodshow website.
