Following a hugely successful first series of garden talks at last year’s Blarney in Bloom, the festival to be held on 12th July this year proudly announces a range of well-known garden experts in garden design guru Diarmuid Gavin, renowned plantswoman Helen Dillon, horticultural therapist Fiann O Nuallain and organic mentor Klaus Laitenberger.

All areas of gardening including ornamental garden design, vegetable production for beginners and advanced gardening techniques will be discussed and demonstrated on the 12th July. The schedule of garden talks starting from 12pm in the main marquee of the fair ground in the Blarney Castle Gardens, will range from Flowers and Shrubs to Grow Your Own, Organic Gardening and on to Garden Design, Colour and Contrast.

Blarney in Bloom will again feature an impressive and fun programme of entertainment including Specialist Plant Nurseries, Interactive craft demonstrations and stalls from local artists’, Farmers Market, Hog Roast, Children’s entertainment and Interactive gardening area, Music from the Blarney Brass and Reed Band and the Cork Prison Choir, Interactive workshop from Cork Textiles Network, Birds of Prey and of course the opportunity to explore the entire 60 acres of Blarney Castle Gardens.

The Blarney in Bloom Summer Fair to be held on Saturday, 12th July will be located within the extensive grounds of Blarney Castle and visitors to the fair will also have the opportunity to explore these wonderful, unique gardens. The entry fee of 5 euro (children free) includes access castle grounds and gardens.
